Maarten Terlouw

Maarten serves as Argentem Creek’s President and Co-Chief Investment Officer. Maarten is responsible for co-leading the management of the firm and the funds investments.

Prior to joining Argentem Creek in January 2023, Maarten spent over 25 years at ABN AMRO Bank, where he most recently served as Regional Chief Executive Officer responsible for all activities of ABN AMRO in North and South America. Prior to this, Maarten led several divisions of the firm, including serving as Global Head of Energy, Commodities and Transportation, a market-leading franchise encompassing an approximately $50 billion sub-investment-grade loan portfolio, advisory activities, and principal finance investments. Throughout his career, he has led, structured and underwritten hundreds of billions of dollars of complex cross-border funding solutions, capital market raises, and M&A transactions, and overseeing teams, regions and portfolios across sectors including energy, mining, industrials, commodities, shipping, telecommunications, and technology.

Maarten is a highly experienced investor, corporate finance practitioner and business leader with deep expertise in Capital solutions, Restructurings, M&A advisory, Capital Markets, Leveraged, and Structured finance. His extensive experience has enabled him to build a broad global network of senior executives, investors, and industry leaders.
